TV Personality & Journalist

My TV background

Being a reporter had always been my dream. Yes! I was once that little girl who played in front of a mirror with a fake microphone, knowing that one day I wanted to make a difference in my community.

But not only did I dream about it, I worked for it! After coming from Cuba to the U.S. at 13 years old, I was determined to go to journalism school. I attended Syracuse University, where I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism with a minor in Spanish.

Soon after finishing my studies, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona for my first job as a reporter for Telemundo. After a few months at the station, I got promoted to Weekend Anchor and spent three incredible years at The Grand Canyon State growing and learning personally and professionally.

In 2019, I was offered the opportunity to continue pursuing my passion in Houston, Texas, the third largest Spanish TV market in the country. There, I also anchored the weekend newscast and worked as a reporter.

But the most exciting news I got in my career came in 2021. Telemundo Network had noted my work and offered me a role as a national correspondent for the morning show ‘Hoy Día’ based in Miami, Florida.

My Work

Awards

As a bilingual journalist for Telemundo, one of my proudest moments has been earning three Emmy Awards that recognize excellence in the television industry.

These awards show how much I love storytelling, the hard work I put into my job, and how dedicated I am to serving our audience and earning their trust.
